Both Admiral Drake and Easton have raced in the English elassis this season. j Admiral Drake failed in the Derby,' but .Easton ran seeond in both the Two Thousand Guineas and the Derby. Admiral, Drake was nominated for the1 Derby by Captain J. D. Conn, but he ran in the interests of "his present qwner, M. L. Volterra, whd ; sent him over to England for the Epsom classic after he had finished second to the unbeaten Brantome in the. French Two Thousand. As a. two-year-old in France he was rated second' to Brantome and 121b superior to Easton. He appears to be improving with racing this season, for in three starts prior to the French Two Thousand he was unplaced, but after that seeond .(and his Epsom Derby run) he filled third place in the French Derby, won by his owner's other representative Duplex. His sire, Craig an Eran, also sired the English Derby winner April the Fifth. About Foulaubin little is ascertainable, except that on April 15 last he ran second in the Prix d'Avril at Longchamp.—"Eaneatira."
