NAPIER, This Day. The death has occurred of Mr. J. B, Andrew, ex-Mayor of Napier.

The. late Mr. Andrew was born at Boss.in 1878, and was educated at Hokitika and Wanganui. He was elected a member of the Napier Borough Council in 1919, and became Mayor in 1921, holding office for four years. He has also serve,d on the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board, of which he was chairman, and the Fire Board.
