Jones, W. M. Sorcnson, E. Clarke. For a seat on the Wairarapa Power Board W. Howard Booth (426) defeated P. H. Blyth (287). Dargaville.—Mayoralty: Mr. F. A. Jones (sitting), 537; Mr. F. C. Gould, 341. Councillors: Messrs. B. Berry, F. J. Hosting, P. J. Sundberg, A. C. Ball, J. A. McLean (sitting), T. Brady, E. Evison, R. W. J. Cuthbert, and A. J. Pinch. The unsuccessful candidates were- Messrs. H. Old and M. Greville. Mr. Jones was returned for the Mayoralty for the fifth time in succession. The poll was a record. Dannevirke. —Borough Council: A. IST. Blakiston, E. Gibbard, C. J. Hansard, J. Tyler, W. McKinnon, S. McKab, S. W. Smith, D. T. Glover, W. Dobson. Messrs. Tyler and Blakiston are now councillors. The poll for seats on the Dannevirke Power. Board resulted in the return of S. Craven, A. H. E..GUlespic, and C. J. Hansard, all sitting members. Mr. W. McKinnon was defeated. Perreau, was returned unopposed, and only the roquired number of nominations was • received for the borough council. The only election was for two representatives on- the Foxton Harbour Board. Invercargill.—Mayoralty: Mr. John Miller (sitting -Mayor) was returned with 5413 votes'. Mr. J. D. Campbell secured, 3179 .votes.' Sattcrthwaite; tho sitting Mayor, with 2933 votes. Mr. W. Angland secured 2121 votes, and Mr. A. Kennedy 768. Tauranga Mayoral Election. —Mr. A. F. Tunlw, 747, defeated the sitting Mayor,-. Mr. B. C. Bobbins, 463. Tho Wednesday half-holiday was retained, the voting being; Wednesday CBS, Saturday 507. Maekio (elected, unopposed). Borough Council of six: Messrs. J. McCarthy, If. A. Martin, E. W. Carpenter, G. Granger, J. L. Braitlnvaite, and T. Staines. There were eight candidates^ Borough .member on the Central Hawke 's Bay Power Board: Mr. A. C. Holms (re-elected). There were two contestants. Borough member on Waipawa Hospital Board: Mr. G. G. Wairoa. —The sitting Mayor of Wairoa, Mb. H. L.
