Gould, 341. Councillors: Messrs. B. Berry, F. J. Hosting, P. J. Sundberg, A. C. Ball, J. A. McLean (sitting), T. Brady, E. Evison, R. W. J. Cuthbert, and A. J. Pinch. The unsuccessful candidates were- Messrs. H. Old and M. Greville. Mr. Jones was returned for the Mayoralty for the fifth time in succession. The poll was a record. Dannevirke. —Borough Council: A. IST. Blakiston, E. Gibbard, C. J. Hansard, J. Tyler, W. McKinnon, S. McKab, S. W. Smith, D. T. Glover, W. Dobson. Messrs. Tyler and Blakiston are now councillors. The poll for seats on the Dannevirke Power. Board resulted in the return of S. Craven, A. H. E..GUlespic, and C. J. Hansard, all sitting members. Mr. W. McKinnon was defeated. Perreau, was returned unopposed, and only the roquired number of nominations was • received for the borough council. The only election was for two representatives on- the Foxton Harbour Board.
