Horses on the minimum prevailed in this year's Grand National Steeplechase, run on the second day of the Liverpool Spring Meeting at Aintree to-day. Forbra and Egremont -were together over threequarters of the race* They jumped the last fence on terms, and Forbra beat off his rival in the run to the judge to win by three lengths. The result was:— GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE, a handicap of 100 spyS each, with. 5000 soys (including a trophy, value 200 soys) added; second 800 soys, third.soo sovSj and fourth 200 soys. Forbra won by three lengths from Egreinont, with Shaun Goilin, who Was successful two years ago, eight lengths back third,. Neither Forbra nor Egremont had previously started in'the National.
