ELECTION RECOUNTS
LYTTELTON SEAT
MR. M'COMBS RETURNED
There are now nine official General Election recounts outstanding, and as the majorities gained by the leading candidates in the preliminary count were fairly substantial, it is extremely unlikely that there will be any surprises. The latest batch of recounts includes Lyttelton, in which tho sitting member, Mr. J. M'Conibs, has been re-elected by 32 votes. On tho first count Mr. M'Combs had a majority Of 105. Members of the last Parliament are indicated with an asterisk, members of former Parliaments by a dagger, and party affiliations as follows:—Coalition Reform, CR; Coalition United, CU; Independent, I; Labour, L; Liberal, Lib.
