Mr. Malcolm M'Kenzie, who has been acting as Deputy-Mayor, was elected unopposed to the Mayoralty. There are fifteen candidates for nine seats on tho council, four candidates for two seats on the Power Board, and five candidates for three seats on the Hospital Board. HOKITIKA, This Day. Mr. Ueorge Perry was re-elected Mayor unopposed, for the eighth term. Only the required number of councillors were nominated. Mr. Samuel Evans has been re-elected Mayor of Ross.
