Brilliant weather combined with the enthusiasm of a large crowd in. giving the visitors an excellent impression of the Dominion, and the v/hole scene provided a happy augury (or the success of the tour. In addition to a large gathering of the public, there were present on the wharf Mr. Li Kwang Heng, Chinese Consul, several representatives of the Chinese community, members of the council of the New Zealand Football Association, and the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association, •As the smiling, members of the team, ied by their manager, Mr. A. E. Dome, filed down the gangway they were given a rousing reception, which they readily acknowledged. Jlt was seen that, although slight of stature, the visitors were of a fine stamp, clean living, and proud of their race. When all the memoers of the team had landed, Mr. H. G. Mayer, chairman of the New Zealand Council, extended to them a very hearty welcome on behalf of the people of New Zealand.
