GENERAL ELECTION
The Prime Minister, according to a Press Association message from Christchurch, stated that the General Election would be held at the usual time this year.
Mr. W. B. Devereux, ; . well known in CliTistchurch.i t as a land agent (eays an exchange), states that he intends to contest . the Eiccarton seat in Parliament as a Reform candidate unless someone else is favoured by the Reform Party. In euchan event he will contest the East Christchurch seat.
