The Wellington Education Board this morning 'accepted the resignations of three tpacliers,—H. Andrews (Koputaroa), M. Parker (Lochmara), and E. Roy (Worser Bay). Messrs/ L. J. Clark, T. Forsyfch, and A. J. White were this morning appointed by the Education Board to represent it on the Wellington Technical School Board of Governors, and Messrs. Q. T. London and M'Kenzie to represent the board on the body controlling the Petone. Technical School. * ' A Press Association telegram an- ' nounces the death at his residence, Bell * Block, near New Plymouth, of the Hon. Thomas Kelly, for many years a member of Parliament. As far back as 1869 he ' was returned as member for New Ply- ■ mouth in the House of Representatives, In which he sat until 1884- In 18^9 ha', was called to the Legislative Council, and was reappointed in 1905." In earlier days Mt. Kelly took a prominent part in the Provincial Government of Taranaki. ' * On the eve of his departure for Australia, Mr. S. Kirkpatrick, managing direqtor of S. Kirkpatrick and Co., Ltd., was presented by the employees, with a handsome gold albert chain and inscribed ' gold. pendant. The pendant is inscrib- '; ed : "Employee to Employer, j Kia ora— From the 'X' Factory Staff." The gift '' was accompanied by a letter signed by every "X" employee—factory staff, office, and salesmen—expressing their thanks for the many kindnesses received from Mr.' Kirkpatrick, and appreciating his " interest in his employees' welfare at all ': times. , ■ i ■ ' ' , '
