LONDON, 29th April. In the Two Thousand Guineas Brennan rode Craig an Eraii. Humorist waa ■favourite. Craig an Eran won by threequarters of a length. Alanbreck was fourth.-. Twenty-six started. Jn the One Thousand Guineas Bellhouse rode.^he winner. Carslake waa on Petrea and Brennan on Pompadour... Bettina won easily. As a result of the Two 'thousand Guineas Alanbreck's prospects in the Derby are viewed in a favourable light ; although he was backward m condition, he made a resolute challenge and finished close up fourth. In a mo>fc sensational finish Humorist and A'.anbreck appeared to have the race'between them when Craig an Eran and Lemonora, both trained by Taylor, shot up the hill and took charge. Monarch, who Had bjeen. regarded as a non-stayer since his Middle Park Plate victory, shaped poorly despite a favourable stfttrt. Tr.iig art Eran started twice as a two-year-old without winning. He ha 6 been freeJy supported for the Derby.
