MAIN EXPEDITION
APPOINTMENTS IN EGYPT. The following appointments have been made in the Main New Zealand Expeditionary Force now in Egypt :—: — Major J. G. Hughes, D.5.0., N.Z.S.C, Assistant Military Secretary, has taken over the duties of Camp Commandant on the Headquarters New Zealand Division Expeditionary Force, and has relinquished those of Assistant Military Secretary. Major Charles Shawe, Reserve of Officers, Rifle Brigade (the Prince Consort's Own), Officer Commanding General Base Depot, has been appointed 3rd Grade General Staff Officer. Captain (temporary Major) A. Moore, D.5.0., Royal Dublin Fusiliers, has been appointed to command the Otago Infantry Battalion in succession to Major (temporary Lieut.-Colonel) T. W. M'Donald, N.Z.S.C. Captain Moore has been granted the temporary rank of lieut. -colonel while commanding the battalion. Captain H. G. Reid, Army Service Corps, has been granted the temporary rank of major with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force while in command of the divisional train.
