CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Seven additional absent votera' papers have been received for East Christchurch to-day. Davey received five, Hunter one, and one was informal. The final figures sure: Thackor, 2492; Davey, 2360; Hunter, 2356; Cooke, 418; informal, 103. This leaves Thack'er and Davey in the second ballot. ' Mr. Jarnei Allen left Dunedrn this Morning for the north, with the object of addressing meeting* in support of the Reform party's candidates for Christchurch North (Mr. Hall) and Riccarton (Mr. E&sor), telegraphs our Duneftin. correspondent. Mr, A. L. Herdman addressed a meeting at Eketahuna last night in the in•terests of thfe Reform candidate, and wa» given a vote of thanks.
