Gladsome is a firmer favourite for tho CwulfieM Cup. She was well backed at 100 to 12, whilo Tartan was supported at 100 to 9. Gladsome put in a capital mile on the sand in lmin 45seo. No special effort wns made. Canteen wound up the last hnlf milo of once pound iv 56«ec. • Wairiki was not exercised.
