SUICID E AT BELMONT.

Constable Cruickshank, of Lower Hutt, repotted to Inspector Pender to-day that a man named Frederiok Charles Cottle, of Belmont, committed suicide yesterday. It appears that Cottle had the breakfast at home, and did not again appear. On anarch being made, hia body was found in the bush near his father's residence. Deceased was lying on his back, one end of a leather strap being fastened to a tree, the other passing round his neck, and being embedded in the flesh. The body waa taken to deceased's home, where an inquest will be held at 8 o'olook to-morrow morningbyLieut.-Col.M'Donnell, Acting-Coroner.
