Sydney Beady got in front of a truck whilo it was in motion, and hianeok, it is reported, became jammed between tho wheol and the rail. Immediately after the acoident, tho attention of Mr. Thomas Ennis, tailor, of WillisB*4M!iwho8 *4 M !i who onftnc °d t° D 0 near tho spot, was attracted by loud Boreams on the part of Henry Ready. On poceeding to ascertain the cause, Mr. Ennis found tho latter holduig his little brother in his arms, apparently dead. Mr. Ennig at once took the child to iJr. Grace, who stated that doath must have boen instantaneous, as deceased's nock had boon dislocated. .^'f *?.. Thomas Ennis, tailor, narrated the circumstances nndor whioh he found deceased, already recordod Henry Beady, aged about 11, said he and his brother, and two or three companions were playing together on Sunday evening by push-
ing a large railway truck up and down, and riding on it. They had been playing there the previous evening. Whilo the truck waß moving deceased ran across the rails in front, but ho slipped, and tho front wheel went over hia neck. Deceased never epoke or moved after the accident. It was easy to move the trucks ; it took three or four boys to push them along. The truck had a brake, which Willie Davies removed after some difficulty. Witness was not pushing the truck when tho accident occurred, but was running across the line in front with deceased. In answer to Mr. Campbell, witness said it would have been impossible to move the truck if the brake had not boen lifted. Dr. Grace deposod that death hod ensued from dislocation of tho neok. Willie F. Davies said ho was the ono who took off the brake. He was sure the wheel did not go over the child. Henry Beady recalled, corrected his previous evidence, stating that the wheel of tho truck did not pass over deceased. The jury, after a brief deliberation, returned a verdict of Accidental Death, adding that the deceased's neck was dislocated eithor by a fall or through deceased coming in contact with the truck. Tho jury also added a rider to tbo offoct that in their opinion tho tracks, when not within enclosures, should bem' Loeffcctuallysoourod, so as to prevent their being removod by boys or others.
