Gentlemen, — I have received your letter requesting me to allow myself to be put in nomination as a Candidate for a seat in the House of Representatives ; and in complying with your wishes, I beg to offer my sincere thanks for the kind terms in which they have been expressed — and also to assure you, that every exertion, on my part, shall be used for the welfare of the Province and Division. SIR,,— Your having been chosen by the Electors of the Northern Division as their representative in the late intended Provincial Council, has determined us to request you to allow yourself to he put in nomination for the forthcoming General Representative Assembly, resting assured that you will use your best endeavours in that Assembly to promote the best interests of this Province.
