After Pastor Koch and his folj lowers left the synod, the Nazis passed a resolution that pastors should be dismissed unless they supported the Government wholeheartedly, and were of Aryan descent. He it Burckel, who, from beyond the frontier, directs Nazi activities in the Saar, has circularised Nazi officials there declaring that the watchword is perfect discipline and blind obedience. Nazis are urged not to discuss the 1935 plebiscite on the future government of the Saar, as the result might be gravely compromised by giving their adversaries a pretext for undesirable measures.
