WELCOME TO MR AND MRS J. H PARKER.
The Coronation Ha.H, South- Loburn. was- completely filled on "Wednesday, evening when or welcome was tendered to Mr J. H. Parker, a member of the All Black football team, and to Mrs Parker. • •
In welcoming Mr and Mrs Parker. Mr Methernll spoke of tho.All Blacks' tour, and said how-much, pleasure >t gave the Loburn people to honour one of the famous footballers.
Mr K. R. Smith, of Rangiera, in the absence of Mr A. Tayler, spoke in eulogistic terms cf Mr Parker's, play on thu field, and said that whenever the results oamc out his name wa.% nlwav\ to the fore. He also referred to the work Mr Parker had begun with the young men of Loburn in forming a football club.
On behalf of the many residents, of tl>e district, Mr McLeod then asked Mr and Mrs Parker to accept a sideboard table, and armchair, aud wished them every success.
Mr Parker, in responding, thanked, the residents, and all who had contributed to the handsome gifts which had been given to Mrs ParkeY and himself, asitl mentioned several incidents of ihe tour. Mr N. Parker, s en., also thanked all for tho welcome home they had given his son. Dancing and musical items were given. Songs given by Mr F. Massey were greatly appreciated. Dance music was supplied" by Messrs llunnibell. Breach and Knight, extras being nlcyed by Misses I. Pulley, I. Joyce, and E. Bowhyes. and Messrs Joyce. GHunriibell and Robinson. Messrs E. Pulley and C. Croft acted as masters of ceremonies. • A dainty supper was served. Among the many present were:
