BIG MERGER IN THE MOTOR BUSINESS.

» A largo company has been formed with tho objccts of taking over and amalgamating tho interests of Tho Dominion Motor Vehicles, Ltd.. of Wellington, and The Universal Motor Co., of Christehurch. The new company, which will liavo a capital of £70,000, will bo under tho control of Mr C. li. Norwood, of Wedlington, as managing director and will bo known as The Dominion Motors, Ltd. Speaking to a reporter yesterday, Mr jßedpath, ono of the directors in the new company, said that the motor business to bo a success must be conducted on a large scale. The motor car for pleasure purposes has given to tho , public a new and alluring form of health * revivification, which can be enjoyed by the aged as well ns the young, and it is 0,n.1y a question of time when every one who can afford a motor car will possess one.
