ST. MARGARET'S COLLEGE.

- St. Margaret's College priz«-giving entertainmeat. took place on Wednesday uight, when the Art Gallery was full of parents and fnends. The first part of the programme was an enter? tainment by the pupils. A French play, "Le.Roi Sana Royanne," was performed ty Misses K. Holmes, D. Dalgety, O. iTcllwraith, M. Curlett, J. Carrington, M. Payne, N. Marsh, F. Burton, S. ilsudo, J. Hill, T. Pinckney, and J. Storry. "Xoel," a ckrer children's play from the pen of a. pupil, Mbs Ngaio Mursb, was performed by Misses B. Scott, G. Jones. R. Atkinson, T. Papprill and E. Batchclor, of the Lower Bchool, part of the "Antigone" of Sophocke. was presented in charactw by Mirace N. Marsh, F» Bridge, 1L

Evans, F. Burton, M. Pyne and K. Holmes. Misses- M. Ruddock and D. Annetts played violin solos, and tho Upper School gave an exhibition of drill. All these- things showed careful training, and were, much appreciated. The prizes w-ere distributed by tho Yen. Archdeacon Enaor, who congratulated the pupils.
