Wellington.—There was great interest in the polling to-day for city councillors. Harbour Bund members, and the weekly half-holiday. Ihe definite results were not known till after tho telegraph office closed. At midnight it f-.eemed likely that Robert Fletcher would head the poll both for the Council and the Harbour Board. The Labour Party ran eight candidates for tho Council.'but they appear to liave succeeded only in electing two, both of whom were in the last Council. It teems certain that Wednesday is retained for tho weekly half-holiday. Onslow Mayoralty. —F. Holdsworth 528 J- G. liarkness (retiring Mayor) 18L Eastbourne Mayoralty.—H. N. Sliortt 310. Dunedin Mayoralty 6381, Wilson 5488. Momington Mayoralty.—Bndger reelected. , St. Kilda Mayoralty.—H. M. Ewing was returned. Invercargill Mayoralty.—Mr Ott was re-elected unopposed. There is not a <rreat deal of new blood in the new Council. The Labour party's nominees were somewhere about the bottom or the poll.
