Tho will contains elaborate provisions for th© carrying on of tlio institution, nnd directs that tho homo is to be managed and controlled by a Board consist ing of the two Christchurch Bishops, the ministers of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and Durham street Methodist Church, the Senior Stipendiary- Magistrate at Christchurch, the chairmen of tho Selwyn City Council, the North Canterbury Hospital Board, aud tho Canterbury College Board of Governors, together with two of tho trustees under the will, and t,wo lady members to he appointed by tho Board. The Board aro -authorised to tise such part of the trust funds as may be nvailuble for the purpose of providing for needy women and their children under the ago of ten*. Tho value of tho trust i.s estimated at about £200,000, and the balance of the estate, after the payment of legacies to old servants, is left to relatives.
