" The Pioneer Bicycle Gub lias declared the following handicaps for the three mile automobile race to be ridden at Lancaster Park on Friday night at the Club's annual fireworks display:—H. R. Martin, motor tncvcle, scr; if. J. Shaw, motor tricycle, scr; A. Lowrv, motor quad, 120 yds; A. Eve.-y, motor bicYcle, 130 yds; N. Oates, Voiturette, 200vds. race, which is the first of Us kind to be held in New Zealand, is causing a good deal of interest. The annual road race, of the employees of Messrs Strange and Co. will be run on Friday morning, the distance being to the Harewood road Church and back. The entries total 44.
