A meeting of Mr G. J. Smith's friends and supporters was held in the Methodist Schoolroom, St. Albams, last night. Mr C. Salter was voted io tho onair. After Mr Smith had addressed those present, the ' meeting adopted a resolution endorsing Mr Smith's candidature- Mr C E. Salter was elected chairman of the committee, and Air W. Hindle secretary.
