Hulme were among the passengers by yesterday's express irorh the south. ~,...• Mr Grossman returned from the North by the Penguin yesterday. The Rev.; Jennings was a passenger for Gisborne by the Tasmania yesterday. The Rev. McDoiigall was a passenger for Wellington by the Penguin yesterday. Mr and; Mrs George Coleman were passengers for Wellington by the Tasmania. _Mr W. G. Nelson was a passenger for Napier by the same steamer. Mr Andrew Orr returned from Hanmer Plains to Ashburton yesterday. i Mrs J. M. Tweed is on a visit to Ashburton. Hon. W. C. Walker, Minister for Education, has returned to Christchurch from the South, and will be in town to-morrow.
