The remain* of the 'late Hon, William Reeves were yesterday.afternoon interred in the Church of England Cemetery, Barbadoes street. The high resp.cc which was felt for the deceased < Kentlenmii during his lifetime was, Hhown by the large number of people who formed the coriogo and by the flags of the bu-lnese houaea of the toiva being hoisted to halfmast. The vehicles numbered over sixty, and in additiou to tueir occ*pants there were many people who walked. Immediately following the hearse were carriages containing themaif) members of ,tho late gentleman's family, members of the literary stall' of the Tinm and the mourners. These were succeeded by the literary and commercial stalls of the Lyttelton Ttmqi, Star, aud Canterbury Times, and several visitors, and then came a long row of .conveyances, havini* as their occupants many of the leading men of the city. It was strewn with many wreaths from friends and others. There was one from the: OtagorDaiki. Timos,one from Mr Geo. Fen wick, one froyi the companionship- of the Lyttelton 'l l i-m* and Star, and one frqua the literary and commercial stalls ot Nth© same papers.
