AUCKLAND EAST Real Democracy Movement.—For business reasons Mr. E. W. Flint has decided not to contest the Auckland East seat as a Real Democracy Movement candidate. His place will be taken by Mr. F' C Jordan, solicitor, of Auckland. WESTLAXD National.—Mr. Frank Chivers, of Greymoutli, engineer, has been selected as the National party candidate for the Westland seat to oppose Mr. O'Brien, Minister of Transport. -Mr. Chivers was born in Taranaki 46 years ago. He served in the British Navy in the last war on North Sea operations, won the D.S.M., and was mentioned in dispatches. Subsequently he joined the engineering staff of the Methodist Missionary Society in the Solomons.—P. A., Greymouth.
