DANZIG DISPUTE.
Japan's Offer Of Mediation " Substantially Correct." OFFICIAL DENIAL. (Recciral 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 12. A message from Tokyo tnys the "Asahi Shiinbim" asserts that Japan recently offered to mediate in the Polo-German dispute over Danzig. The report is officially denied, but "The Times" Tokyo correspondent says that despite the denial the substantial accuracy of the report is undoubtable. The Japanese informed Poland and Germany that Japan would be happy to use her good offices for alleviating the tension.
