FARMER'S COLLAPSE.
(By Telegraph.—c™ Correspondent.) ' PAEROA, Wednesday. A farmer, Mr. George Harper, of Wai-1 toa, died suddenly after boarding a train at Paeroa station. Sixty-nine vears of age, he had spent the week-end with his son at Wharepoa, and his daughter, Mrs. D. A. Vincent, of Paerca. After having lunch with Mrs. \ incent he walked to the station and boarded a train but collapsed on entering the carriage. \ son of the, late Mr. G. Harper, solicitor, of Nelson, Mr. Harper was a prominent athlete in his younger days, 1 and toured Australia with the- !New Zealand Rugby team in 1893.
