DARGAVILLE CLUB. MARY MITCHELL IN FORM. C. W. KIRTON TWO RECORDS. Competing In the high jump at the Dargaville Amateur Athletic Club's second championship meeting Mary Mitchell leaped 4ft S3in, which was 2Jin more than that with which she won the Auckland provincial championship not long ago. She attempted to break her own figures for the broad jump, but was unsuccessful, her best effort being 10ft lOJin. ' C. W. Kirton, in the one mile and half- [ mile championships broke the existing | records: while new figures for the men's one mile championship for the ColmoreWilliams challenge cup were set by C. Osbaldistonc 20ft ljln, 2; L. Colmore-Wil-liams 10ft 4in, 3. Two miles cycle championship: E. Lovell 1, C. W. Kirton 2, I. Lenoel 3. Time 5.55. Men's 880 yards championship: R. Bonner 1, W. R. Dreadon 2. A. D. Thompson 3. Time 2.15. Ladies' high jump championship: M. Mitchell 4ft SJin, 1 ; Tremain 4ft liu, 2. Throe-mile cycle championship: I. Lenoel 1, E. Lovell 2, J. Aiken 3. Time 8.48 1.5. Men's hop, stop and jump championship: P. Stanaway 40ft oin, 1 ; L. Colmore-Wil-liams 30ft Oin, 2: G. Osbaldistone 30ft 411n, 3. Men's one-mile championship, ColmoreWilllams challenge cup: C. Rowland 1, It. Bonner 2. Time 5.4 3-s—a record for the race. Men's 100 yards championship : G. Osbaldistone 1, D. Rlghton 2. P. Stanaway 3. Ladies' 75 yards championship : Mrs. W. McQueen 1, J. Canavan 2, M. Mitchell 3. Time 8 4-ss. Half-mile cycle championship : C. W. Kirton 1, I. Lenoel 2, E. Lovell 3. Time 1.13 4-s—a club record. Men's 220 yards championship: G. Osbaldistonc 1, D. Righton 2, L. Colmore-Williams 3. Time 20 l-ss. Ladies' javelin championship : M. Mitchell 08ft, 1 ; G. Tremain 91ft, 2. Men's javelin championship L. Colmore-Williams (holder) made a throw of 146 ft, but broke liis javelin, the event having to bo abandoned until a later date.
