CAR ASSEMBLY PLANT.

TODD MOTORS, PETONE

The new assembly works of Messrs. Todd Motors, Ltd., at Petone, were officially declared opened recently by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr. Masters, in the presence of a large number of guests and visitors, who included the acting-Prime Minister, Mr. Ransom.

Standing on two acres the works, which are 011 one floor, are 530 feet long and 108 feet wide. One hundred and thirty "man hours" are required to produce the motor car, and at that rate some 18 vehicles can be completed in a day. Tlie factory has storing room for 400 cars.
