WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.

MARLEY—PIDGEON.

St. David's Presbyterian Church, Klivbcr Pass, w;is attractively decorated with pink and white flower* recently for the marriage of Miss Gladys Eileen l'idgeon, only daughter of Mr.' and Mre. A. Pidgeon, of Reniuora, to Mr. Rupert Kenneth Marley, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Norval F. Marley, of Wellington South. The Rev. J. A. Thomson officiated, and Mr. S. Yallop presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her wore a slim-fitting frock of ivory satin 'beaute, with full skirt fashioned to form a train. Over this fell in billowy folds a hand embroidered veil of silk net, which was draped from a lace Juliet cap and held in place by a half-circlet of orange blossom. She carried a eheaf of white flowers. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Doris Long, of Pahiatua, cousin of the bride, and Miss Esther Jones, of Epsom, who were frocked' alike in cameo pink georgette. They carried pink carnations and sweet peas, and wore felt hate to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. George Molloy as best man, and Mr. W. H. B. Broomfleld as groomsman. Messrs. Ronald Pidgcon, brother of the bride, L. Rice, R. Cameron and R. Judson ably performed the duties of ushers. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Click Clack Cabaret, where Mrs. Pidgeon received her guests, wearing a frock and coatee of kingfisher georgette, with ecur lace yoke and trimmings. Her hat was of cherry colour and she carried a bouquet of roses and carnations.
