A CHANGE IN NAME.
LIB-LAB TO UNITED.
CANDIDATE FOR WAIPAWA.
A Press Association telegram from Dannevirke, stating that Mr. D. B. Kent, a Labour candidate for the Waipawa seat had changed to the United party, is said by a Napier correspondent to be incorrect.
"The telegram is altogether incorrect, because Mr, Kent went to the electors as ap Independent-Liberal Labour candidate," says the correspondent, "and up till October 18, the day on which tht message was sent out, he was always referred to in the local Press as a Lib-eral-Labour candidate. Mr. Kent nevor has stood as a Labor candidate. The telegram, as published, was a material injustice to the Labour party."
