MR. WILSON'S SUCCESSOR. DR. G. 11. SCHOLEFIELD. (Tiy TelcgTapb.—Press Association.! WELLINGTON, this day. Dr. G. H. Scholeficld, editor of the Wairarapa "Age," has been appointed to the position of Parliamentary Librarian, vice Mr. Charles Wilson, resigned.

Dr. Guy Hardy ScholeficW, who is a well-known New Zealand journalist, was born in Dunedin in 1877. He received his education at Tokomairiro district high school, and at Victoria " College (Wellington), and at the latter gained the Bowen and Macmillan Brown prizes. Entering journalism, he was successively on the stall's of the Bruce "Herald,"

"X.Z. Times,'' and Christchurch "Press," then returning to the "N.Z. Times" as chief of staff. From 1908 to 1919, he was the London correspondent of the New Zealand Associated Press, and during this time he took the degree of Doctor of Science (economics and political science) at London University. In 1914, he was correspondent with the Grand Fleet and on the West front, and returning to New Zealand in 1919, he was the official historian of the Prince of Wales' tour of the Dominion in the following year. ,In 1923, he became editor and director of the Wairarapa "Age" at Masterton. He is chairman of the Wairarapa High ! School Board of Governors, and is also the author of several historical books on New Zealand.
