. ■ ■ • — "■ j MRS. E. J. RICHMOND. A SOCIAL WORKER. The death of Mrs. E. .T. Richmond, at Havelock North, on Sunday, has removed a well known social and religious worker. Deceased early in her life took a keen interest in social and charitable work. For many years she was an official visitor - of the gaols throughout the DominionShe was also interestctl in education. Thirty-five years ago Mrs. Richmond, with Miss Hayward, were members of tbe Taranaki Education Board. In later years Mrs. Richmond was a leader in New Zealand of the Anthroposophica 1 movement. Deceased was a daughter of the late Major Parris, and was bom at New Plymouth in 1844. She yvas married to the late Mr. Henry Robert Richmond, one-time superintendent of taranaki province. Mr. IT. P. Richmond, president of the Auckland Law Society, U the only son of deceased. «nd Mrs. Compton Smith, of Havelock North is her daughter. OLD THAMES RESIDENT.
