OLD AGE PENSIONS.
At yesterday's sitting of the Old Age Pensions Court, Mr Brabant, S.M., authorised certificates for £18 each to the following applicants:—Christian Peter Haubroe, Edwin Bird, Charles Gray, Alice Murphy, John Coombes, Margaret Healy, Elizabeth Phillips, Elizabeth Bushell, Georgianna Maria Mills, Janet Miller, Thos. Hamilton, George Williams, Sarah Seward, Jane Ower, Beda O'Connor, Jane Archer, Elizabeth Leighton, Eliza Jane Mellsop. Less amounts were granted to the following petitioners: —William Edwin Harris £ 17, John Murphy £ 17, George Heald £15, Thomas Beeston £15, James Culbert £15, Douglas Firmin £14, Charlotte Wilson £12, Sarah Culbert £12, William Henry Walker £10, Mary Watkinson £10, Jane Smith £2. Owing to the amending Act a good many reductions were made in the annual sums. The next hearing of claims and other matters connected with pensions has been fixed for Wednesday, June 19.
