OBITUARY
There passed uway at the Dunstan Hospital on Friday, 19th. hist., an interesting and popular old identity in JVIr William Woodhouse, of the Manuherikia Valley. Mr Woodhouse was the second son of the late Francis and Elizabeth Woodhouse, of Roxburgh and Bannockburn, his father being a native of Liverpool, England. The deceased was born at Roxburgh on April 5, 1866, being one of the first four babies boni in that district. He married Julia, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs O'Leary, of Blue Spur, Lawrence. Of the six children of the marriage—four sons and two > daughters—Francis, the eldest son, left New Zealand with the Main Body at the age of 17 years, and was killed at Gallipoli in July, 1915. Mrs Woodhouse and the youngest daughter, Mary, predeceased the late Mr Woodhouse by some eight years. Mr Woodhouse spent the whole of his working life in dredging and mining. He had a very bright and cheerful dispositon, and a large circle of friends will have cause to miss his cheery presence and will extend to his family all sympathy in their sudden IdSS."" ■,...-■_., The funeral-took place-at the Alex-.:...-andra Cemetery• on' Sunday afternoon, ' the Rev.
