Mr T. E. Donne, head of the Tourists and Commerce Departments, returned to-day from a visit to America, and Britain. The main object of hia trip was to eeoure the co-operation of the American, British, and Continental manufacturers in carrying out the International Exhibition in Christohtiroh. Interviewed by a "Post" reporter, he declined to give details of the amount of auccesa met with, but generally speaking, he says he has every confidence that the repreFentation will ba characteristic of aU countries through which he has travelled. He is greatly impressed with the desirableness of further advertising the colony abroad, and thinks the present a favourable time for offering facilities to British farm folk to come to the colony owing: to the shortage of lands in Britain for the rising generation. He has definite recommendations to make to the Government on this point.
